Syed Abul Ala Maududi (1903–1979) was one of the most influential Islamic scholars, jurists, and thinkers of the twentieth century. Born in Aurangabad, India, he dedicated his entire life to the study, explanation, and revival of Islam. He founded Jamaat-e-Islami in 1941 and spent decades writing, teaching, and advocating for an Islam-centered approach to all aspects of human life — spiritual, social, political, and intellectual. His works have been translated into dozens of languages and continue to guide millions of readers around the world.
